OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1872 by F.C. Buerstatte, as Buerstatte Drugs and later incorporated as Manitowoc Pharmacies, Inc., In 2014, Manitowoc Pharmacies, which includes a pharmacy in Pulaski, Wisconsin, combined with Gwidt Pharmacy, Inc., which has locations in Wittenberg and Oconto Falls, WIsconsin. Just as it was in 1872, service to our customers remains the hallmark of Manitowoc Pharmacies.
In 2012, on the 140th anniversary of the pharmacy, a ribbon cutting ceremony took place to celebrate the location’s inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.

FREE DELIVERY
There are many reasons why getting to the pharmacy may be a challenge: lack of transportation, mobility issues, bad weather, busy lifestyle. Manitowoc Pharmacies understands that time is valuable so we offer FREE delivery to your doorstep for your convenience.

IMMUNIZATIONS
All of our pharmacists are certified to give immunizations so no appointment is necessary. However, it is wise to call to make sure your desired vaccine is in stock. Currently we offer influenza, shingles, pneumonia, pertussis, diphtheria, and tetanus vaccines.
We also offer an on-site flu clinic for long-term care facilities. Call for details.
SPECIALTY PACKAGING
Keeping track of your medications can be difficult and confusing.
Forgetting to take a dose, taking the wrong medication, not following the doctor’s instructions on the label all can lead to unnecessary trips to the hospital. With our help you may be able to properly manage your own medication. For many of our customers it prevents the need to be admitted to an assisted living facility or nursing home, saving them thousands of dollars per month!

BUBBLE PACKS
Blister Packs (Bingo Cards, Bubble Packs) can be used with patients in their own homes or in long-term care facilities. Medications are packaged in a unique 30 or 31 day cycle. This easy to use packaging puts all medications designated for a particular time, e.g. 8:00AM, into the same pack . A patient will typically have four blister packs (morning, noon, evening, and bedtime).
One of the great luxuries of the program is that refills are automatic and will be delivered right to your door at the end of each month.
MEDICATION THERAPY MANAGEMENT (MTM)
What is MTM?
When you have a medical condition or an illness that requires the use of prescription medication, our pharmacists will act as a bridge between you and your physician(s) to ensure that you understand your medications and how to take them to give you the best outcome.
Why is MTM important?
MTM is especially effective for patients with multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, asthma or COPD. It is also beneficial for patients who have complex medication therapies, high prescription costs, and multiple prescribers.
The MTM program determines that:
● You are properly educated about your current health condition
● You are taking your medications properly as prescribed
● The vitamins and supplements you’re taking are safe with your prescriptions
● You’re spending only what you need to and not a penny more
How do I start?

MEDICATION SYNCHRONIZATION
With medication synchronization Manitowoc Pharmacy reduces your stress and saves you time by filling all your prescriptions on the same day every month (or every 3 months if your insurance allows). At Manitowoc Pharmacies we will handle everything, including working with your physician(s) and your insurance provider so you will never run out of your medications. We want to simplify your life!
How does Medication Synchronization work?
One week before your scheduled pick-up or delivery, a pharmacy technician from Manitowoc Pharmacies will call you to discuss any recent changes concerning your medications. After that, any new, discontinued or modified prescriptions are reviewed with your physician. Your medications will be ready for pick up or delivery on the same day of every month.

BILLING
Manitowoc Pharmacies accepts most insurance plans including but not limited Medicare D, State of Wisconsin Medicaid, SeniorCare, Workman’s Comp, Hospice, etc.
We understand that drug coverage with certain insurances can be confusing and stressful.
We take all of that confusion and stress away by having a prescription coverage expert that specializes in everything from claim rejections to prior authorizations and monthly billing questions. Our billing department is in daily contact with insurance companies and stays up to date with all the new insurance guidelines.
